Twenty four million children ride 440,000 school buses every day. On the average, students spend 90 minutes each weekday in a school bus. School buses across America are driven more than 4 billion miles each year. In Ohio, 20,000 buses transport 1 1/3 million students daily. The Buckeye Valley Local School District is 197 square miles in area. We transport 2,000 students a half million miles each year with a fleet of around 30 buses. We have 21 daily double routes transporting our students to one high school, one middle school and three elementary schools.
Jim Thompson, our Special Needs Bus Driver, was voted the Central Ohio Bus Driver of the Year last school year. Jim is just one of our drivers dedicated to the welfare and safety of our students traveling to and from school, to athletic events and other school activities off campus.
