General Employment Information It is the practice of the Buckeye Valley Local School District to interview candidates only when a position is available in their area of certification. When using the Ohio WBR System, application can be updated and revised at any time. If you are a final candidate for a position in our district, you will be required to be fingerprinted under the mandate of Senate Bill 38 through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII). Final employment with the Buckeye Valley Local School District will then be contingent upon a successful fingerprint check.

To Apply For a Teaching or Administrative Position Please complete an online application through the Ohio Department of Education Web-Based Recruiting (WBR) System. This system is based on the use of a standard Ohio Application form, which can be completed online. Your application is sent to all Ohio schools, or schools within a specific region of the state. In addition, this system will allow you to attach documents such as resumes, to your application.

Depending on your internet connection, this application process can take up to an hour. Upon review of initial WBR System applications, we may contact you. At such time, we will inform you if additional information is needed (resume, transcripts, PRAXIS scores etc.). During the online application process, you will be able to attach resumes, cover letters, reference letters etc. should you wish to do so. Although we prefer that you attach documents in this manner, we will accept the previously mentioned documents as hard copies. IMPORTANT: The current WBR Online Application serves as the "official" Buckeye Valley Local Schools application and should be completed.

Substitute Teachers Needed We are in need of individuals with a Bachelor's Degree in any field and an interest in working with children in Delaware or Union County. Candidates are required to attend a DUESC Substitute Teacher Training class (provided at no cost to candidates). Upon completion of the first month of substitute teaching, substitutes will be paid for attendance at this training session.
