As most of you are well aware, Buckeye Valley Local Schools has implemented the Buckeye Valley Alerting System. This system employs a state-of-the-art telecommunications package called Leader Alert® to send messages by phone, email, and text message quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency or other non-routine scenario (calamity days come to mind as we have had several over the past month and more may be on the way) to all of our stakeholders who have opted to sign up for the program We have gained valuable experience using the Leader Alert® package over the past few weeks and likewise, the vendor, Leader Technologies Incorporated has learned more about our needs and has been working diligently to adapt the system to better serve our - and everyone's - needs.

Many of you have opted in to the Buckeye Valley Alerting System for peace of mind and to be sure you are 'in the loop' if anything out of the ordinary were to happen in the school community. We encourage all of you to register if you have not done so already by going to the Buckeye Valley registration web page at www.leaderalert.com/buckeyevalley, completing the registration information, and choosing how you wish to be notified whenever an alert is sent. Your options are:

You can put up to three separate phone numbers on your account. We encourage you to consider your options carefully when you sign up. Getting three phone calls and a text message between 5:30 and 6:00 am on a snow day can get annoying, as some of you have discovered.
