Visual Identity Guidelines

Overview
The Buckeye Valley district extends far beyond the walls of our school buildings. Our student leaders are active members of the community, our student athletes and musicians travel across the region playing and performing at sporting events and our district newsletter is dispatched quarterly to every corner of the district. Because of this, it is important that our image remains consistent, in print and on the web, always reflecting the district's desire for academic excellence and a safe, fun learning environment.

These guidelines exist to allow for easy, flexible use of the Buckeye Valley logo and other district graphics in a uniform and consistent way. Here you will find a variety of examples to help when you are using the logo so that everything our image touches will play a part in a consistent, coherent public image.

District Logo
{BV Shield} The Shield logo represents the Buckeye Valley Local School District as a whole and appears as a graphic representation of the district and its values. It appears on all district-related forms of communication from stationery to field trip forms. The shield consists of two segments, one gold, one brown. The correct application of the shield to communications and signs across the district is vital to the success of Buckeye Valley's visual identity program.

Official School Colors
It is important that PANTONE 123 (or very similar) is used as the official Buckeye Valley gold. Do not use yellow or "Vegas gold".
Use a rich, dark brown, not tan, not black.

If you are using the logo in a context where neither brown nor gold are available, the Shield logo's outline and right segment should be printed your darkest available color. With exception to the Athletic (Baron) Logo, the shield should never be reversed*.

Athletic Logo
{Athletic Logo} The Baron logo symbolizes Buckeye Valley's competitive spirit. It is recommended that the Baron logo be incorporated with athletic, spirit or competition-based designs, reserving the Shield logo for academic, ceremony or community-based designs.

If you have questions as to the correct application of the Baron logo, contact us by clicking
here.

*For design purposes, the Shield emblem has been reversed on the Baron logo. It should not be reversed otherwise.
